WhatsNextHey all. Happy Friday. “Online Marketing” is a term that makes most small business owners cringe. That usually means to them that they have to generate content, to blog, to reach outside of their comfort zone, to make themselves vulnerable to their existing and potential clients. While content generation is certainly important, there are some fun and practical things you can do as a business owner to make the maximum impact on the local marketplace.

Thought I’d share my simple checklist for online marketing success:

1- Make your website mobile-friendly so consumers can find your business wherever they are and easily view your business information on their mobile devices.

2- Keep your digital presence current and consistent across all media, with up-to-date address, phone numbers, and web links.

3- Engage your consumers through social channels to drive awareness around your business and build loyalty to your brand.

4- Promote your business via search engine marketing and display advertising so your target consumers find you when they are searching for products and services like the ones your business offers.

THAT’S IT! Just those four things can put you in a higher percentile for local search.
